Ah I see.

Yes, the host annoys me. I had to be told he was previously on "Queer Eye' - I think I watched about 1/3 of that once and decided it wasn't for me.

And I guess you are right about the judges although sometimes, they can be quite complimentary and are almost offering the winners or runners up a job.

I suppose I like the aspect of the oddball ingredients they throw at the contestants and their ability to think and cook on their feet.

As for REI, I think it is basically there so we can all watch and go "Well they're not very realistic, are they?"

Some of the folks in it automatically think their properties are worth far more than the market will bear and basically the realtor (Aubrey) brings them down to earth, usually with a bump.

Some learn from it and sell at a loss, some rent their place out until the market picks up and some get lucky and ignore his advice and sell for more but that is rare.

I quite like the things he points out in the comps but I suppose a lot is common sense.

Anyway, I know I'm in a minority on liking those real estate shows on HGTV - there are lots of complaints about them that I've seen online.

lol -

I am guilty of watching Chopped as well...It's like staring at a car pile up. You just can't look away! I actually like the concept of Chopped just not the host and panel of very cynical and snobby judges - especially the youngest guy...can't remember his name.
Real Estate Intervention has no real substance in my view. What is the purpose of the show? I just don't get it.:D
