One Two Three Pasta Sauce
How many times have your purchased the pre-made pasta sauce and been disappointed with your choice? Well, I have been let down on many an occasion. They are just not as fresh or tasty as you would like.
Based on this experience, we have created a simple sauce that’s as easy as one, two, three. Here are the basic ingredients: -
3 garlic cloves
2 table spoons Extra Virgin olive oil
2 sprigs of thyme
4 cherry tomatoes
1 pinch of salt or to taste
1 pinch black pepper or to taste
1 pinch of sugar
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning – or you can use a combination of
other fresh Italian herbs such as parsley, oregano, basil, marjoram
1 tin Hunts Fire Roasted Tomatoes
Finely chop the garlic and cherry tomatoes. Heat the olive oil over a moderate high heat in a deep skillet or wide mouthed saucepan.
Add the garlic and sauté gently – do not allow the garlic to burn. Add the tomatoes and the thyme after removing the tiny leaves from their stems. Continue mixing with a wooden spoon.
Add the fresh tomatoes, tinned tomatoes and mix thoroughly. Allow to heat through for a few minutes before adding the other seasonings, salt, pepper, sugar and Italian herbs.
Taste finished product and add more seasoning until you are satisfied.
Now this recipe can be modified to your specifications. You can add cheeses to it, cream, vegetables or whatever your preference. It’s quick easy and tastes delicious. Yum!

Skin For Life
One of the more neglected parts of our bodies is the skin. We take it for granted, although it protects us from the elements and exudes waxes that help waterproof the body and block out germs.
Washing your body daily is the first step to healthy skin. Water’s properties help hydrate the skin and keep it free from dirt and allergens. It’s a simple basic step that we take for granted but will help your skin last a lifetime.
For the majority us, lotions will contribute a wealth of health to your skin. Dry skin needs moisture to retain its elasticity and keep it in good shape. Lotions are a good way to help your skin keep that moisture locked in.
For those who spend copious amount of time in the sun, a lotion with a solid SPF factor is best. The sun’s rays can age your skin rapidly and cause skin cancers. If you want your skin to last a lifetime then you must use sunscreen when out in the sun. Even those of us with darker skin tones can benefit from using a sun-blocking lotion.
So whilst you’re out there drinking water and eating healthiest, don’t forget about the body’s largest organ. Remember to take care of your skin.

Girl for Sale…
So the newspaper advert should have read, such was the stupidity of one father. It happened in India, where a father put his daughter up as a wager in a card game and lost! The winner dragged off the girl, despite her vehement protests and whilst family onlookers tried in vain to stop him.
Gambling is illegal in India, so shouldn’t this make the verbal contract, “wager”, null and void? We might need a few lawyers to sort this one out.
Luckily, neighbors in her village heard the story and rescued her from a tortuous situation. Level heads have prevailed.
Who would have thought children were bargaining chips. Just plain stupid.

Jackass
Kanye West is a jackass. So says the President of the United States and so say we all! That, my friends is the reason why “jackass” is etablog’s Word of the Week. It defies logic that one person can cause such silly controversy for a slightly less than earth-shattering event.
If you haven’t heard, read or seen the faux pas, then you might have been living under a rock for the past day or so. And you can consider yourself a very lucky person. As for Mr. West, he rudely interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards show to declare that Beyonce’s music video should have won.
Now in this time of economic woes and continued unsettling news coming out of places like Afghanistan, you could forgive “Hollywood” for wanting to have a day of narcissistic celebration. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but when the US President has to take the time to answer some wannabe journalist’s question about “Kanye-gate”, you start to wonder.
Perhaps Kanye should be banned or suspended at the very least from attending these events. I believe that this is his second outburst in such a situation. But that would be a silly idea, now wouldn’t it? Why on earth would you bother to watch these shows, without all the controversy? You could even be convinced that this might be one of those stupid publicity stunts if only Kanye West wasn’t at the center of it all.
