1725 – Arthur Guinness was born, the founder of you guessed it, the Guinness Brewery. The beer also celebrates its 250th anniversary this year.

1957 – The Brooklyn Dodgers played the last game at Ebbets Field. The Dodgers beat the Pirates 2-0 in front of a mere 6,700+ fans.

19?? – Author and Editor of etaBlog, Hyacinth was born in Bristol, England, we won’t put the year because you know how the ladies are about their age.

Check out this old time baseball footage of the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field.
