September Blues Without Blue & Orange – Makes Me Red

RecreationThe last two seasons of watching the Mets collapse in September has been a real heart ache. Thankfully this year the Mets have managed to top the last two years with one of the most abysmal baseball seasons of the decade. The biggest highlights are watching players returning to the field after injury and auditioning for other teams.  I’ve started to wonder if I will be watching a sub-500 ball club for the next few season or will the Mets somehow turn it around and make a run next year for a championship.

Because the Mets are completely out of contention doesn’t mean I’m not watching Baseball. You’d think that living in Red Sox Nation and the fact that former-Met Billy Wagner is playing for the Sox I would be easily converted to cheer for them in hopes to overthrow the powerful Yankees. This is not the case, I’ve decided to jump to the West Coast baby, I’m going to LAX on the Los Angeles Angels Bandwagon or at least I think that’s what their name is? I’m taking a break from my team to watch the playoffs unless the Angels decide to mimic the tragic September downfall like the 2007-2008 Mets. I will be rooting for Guerrero and his goons in the post season whatever their name is, whoever they are and where ever they’re from.  Let’s go Angels!
