<p>On the first Thor’s Day of the year, in 1999, the impeachment trial for President Bill Clinton began.</p>
<p>Since ancient times the Japanese celebrate Nanakusa-no-sekku a custom to eat seven wild herbs on January 7th.  This tradition is meant to celebrate good health and longevity.</p>

<p>1877 – Moonlight Graham was born.  He was an American Baseball player who “played” for the NY Giants.  Zero at bats and zero total chances in the field, his first and last game were the same day.</p>
<p>1945 – Neil Young was born.  Known for many rock classics including one of my favorites “Old Man” written in 1972.  Mr. Young turns 64 sorry for the pun.</p>
